Symptoms of INTERTIGO

The most common symptom of Intertrigo is an itch, but symptoms can differ from nothing to burning or stinging with severe irritant contact dermatitis. [i]

The other symptoms of Intertrigo include:5

  • Red or reddish-brown rash
  • Raw, itchy, or oozing skin
  • Foul odour
  • Cracked or crusty skin

Secondary candida infection in Intertrigo generally presents as satellite papules (pimple or swelling) or pustules (pimple with pus) with a bright red colour or merging inframammary reddening.6
