Diet Recommendations (Aahar)

• Avoid food that aggravate pitta:
  • Alcohol and coffee.
  • Red meat and egg yolks.
  • Oily and fried foods.
  • Spicy, salty and sour foods.
  • Dairy products like butter, yogurt, cheese and sour cream
• Include bitter and sweet vegetables such as asparagus, cucumbers, green sweet peppers broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower brussels, sprouts, and leafy greens in diet.
• Consumer ripe fruit, sweet fruit such as pineapples, cherries, melons and apples
• Use grains such as barley, wheat and oats
• Restrict use of salt in food
