What is Fatigue Ayurvedic treatment

FATIGUE Meaning

Fatigue simply means exhaustion. Nearly everybody feels exhausted after a full day’s work or after any strenuous activities such as running, going to the gym, heavy work, activities requiring concentration such as driving or mental exercises. But in many cases, some people may feel tired of exhausted all the time. Alternatively they may get tired with minimal activity. This fatigue can be due to a serious underlying condition and affect the physical and psychological aspects of a person.1

As per Ayurveda, fatigue is described as Klama. Additionally some alternative words used to describe the condition are aayasa, and shrama. It is caused due to imbalance of doshas, especially vata and kapha, and can lead to long term morbidity and slowing down of either recovery or normal metabolism of the body. 2
