What is Low Sperm Count Ayurvedic treatment

A low sperm count is a condition where the male possesses lesser than normal sperms in their ejaculate. This condition does not affect the sexual activity but is inadequate for fertilizing the ovum - thereby leading to infertility. On an average the sperm count should be around 15 million in one milliliter of semen. Anything less than this is termed as Oligospermia and a zero count is referred to Azoospermia.1

As per Ayurveda, oligospermia may be correlated with Kshina shukrata. In this condition of the sperms not able to fertilize the ovum. Kshina shukra (weak sperm) or shukradushti (Impaired sperm) may arise due to vitiation of doshas, especially vata.2
